4 Month Appointment

We went to see Dr. Boe today and Ms. Lettie is hitting all of her milestones. He again was impressed by her weight gain since her 2 month appointment, especially after he learned she is still only getting breastmilk :) I remain astonished by the capabilities of a woman's body! 

Lettie's Measurements

Height: 24 3/4 in = 55th percentile (grew 2 inches)

Weight: 15lb 11oz = 75th percentile (gained ~4 pounds)

Head circumference: 16.5 in = 81st percentile (grew 1 inch)

I also must admit that I have a thumb sucker... The pacifier has officially no use to this baby girl and she prefers her thumb, left or right, she does not discriminate! 

4 Months New

Lettie does not want to miss anything these days! She loves to sit up and watch everything and everyone! She is so smiley and continues to sleep great at night! She has started to become one drooly baby so I fear we may have some teeth popping through in the near future. She is still in size 1 diapers and 3-6 month clothes. I never thought it would make me sad to put clothes away that she has grown out of but it sure has! She is giggling more than ever and has definitely found her "voice"! :) 

Isaac put together her Baby Einstein jumparoo/ exersaucer (I'm not sure the proper terminology) and even though I had my doubts that she was too small, she loves it! 

Isaac's BIG 3-0!!

Time and time again Isaac has mentioned that I "could never pull off a surprise party for him." Well I proved him wrong! He was completely and utterly surprised when he walked into his party. My favorite part was that when he first walked into the bar he saw a "bunch of people" at the back of the bar, he then turned around and said to his two best friends, Ben & Ryan, "guys we can't go in there, they are having a party." Ben & Ryan then walked passed Isaac motioning for him to follow them, even after we all yelled surprise Isaac was still confused and it wasn't until Ryan leaned in and gave him a hug and whispered in his ear "this is for you, Happy Birthday man!" that Isaac finally understood (believed) that it was all for him! haha I think it is safe to say that I pulled off an awesome 30th birthday for my hubby! 

It was also the first night that Lettie stayed the night with Grammie Cyndee! She did great and slept all night for Grammie! However, when I woke up Sunday morning all I wanted was my baby girl so we rushed out to get here right away! It was a good first practice run but I'm definitely not in any hurry to do it again! I never thought I would be "this mom" but I am! (You truly can't speak until you have one of your own...)

World Meet Oakleigh Jo

My sister, Alisha, had a baby girl on March 30 and she just couldn't be any cuter! As soon as I got off work I ran over to the hospital to get in some baby snuggles, she was 6 ounces bigger than Lettie when she was born but man did she seem tiny! Mom and baby OJ are doing great!

When Ms. Oakleigh was about a week old, Lettie and I headed down to Heyworth so the cousins could meet! It was so much fun seeing them together and of course we had to have a little photo shoot with them to document the occasion. I never thought Alisha and I would get to share a pregnancy together let alone have two little girls who are only three months apart... they are going to be handful some day but I can't wait to watch them grow up together!

3 Months New

Lettie is 3 months new! Her personality is definitely starting to come out and she has officially giggled! Isaac had told me that he got her to giggle a couple weeks ago but I didn't believe him! Baby girl is in size 1 diapers and getting into her 3-6 month clothes. She still loves to eat eat eat and is sleeping through the night in her big girl room!

Lettie loves to sit up and just look around, she does not want to miss anything! 

Big Girl

Last weekend we moved Lettie into her room but kept her in the rock n' play, what she has been in since we come home from the hospital and then this weekend we moved her into the crib. My thought process was to change her environment gradually so that we would ease the transition process and it worked! She has officially slept all night in her crib for three nights with no problems! I seriously knock on wood every time I think this or say it out loud, but if I was guaranteed to have babies like her I would have 10! 

Nachos, Beer & Baby Talk

This weekend we threw a couples diapers and wipes party for my sister and brother in law for their newest addition to their family, baby girl Jones! We all do the same thing, where we tell the gender but not the name. Alisha will be having a scheduled cesarean section at the end of the month so soon enough we will get to meet the lil princess and find out her name! 

We had a nacho bar with all the fixins and of course some Carol Jones strawberry cupcakes! We had a great turn out and I think everyone had a good time. I love that times have changed and there are more options, rather than a traditional baby shower, and the men can be involved! Brooke, my oldest sister, and I had asked Alisha and Matt what they wanted to do for their newest addition and they said they wanted to get all of their favorite people together and celebrate before the baby arrives, so that's exactly what we did! Unfortunately I failed yet again and didn't take any pictures! However, after asking my sisters we were able to come up with two pictures, between the three of us, so pathetic!
