In March of 2014 we were headed for Nashville, TN for a fun filled weekend with our friends full of music and bar hopping. Little did I know that Mr. Isaac had bigger plans for that weekend. When we were planning the trip Isaac had told me he wanted to take me out to dinner the night that we got there, which I didn't think much of it because we were still in the honeymoon stage of our relationship and he travels every week for work so our weekends are our time together. I did not ask too many details about our dinner date and just went with it. When we got to the hotel I realized he had a styrofoam cooler which I thought was weird but he explained to me that the restaurant we were going to was BYOB, he even made reference to a restaurant we have back home and also that his good friend who lives in Nashville suggested the restaurant we were going to so again I didn't question him. Then as we left the hotel Isaac had told me he had already called for a cab so we walked right outside to find our ride. As we stood outside the hotel up rolled a stretch SUV limo and as I looked at Isaac he just smiled from ear to ear and in the back of my head I was thinking "he is so over the top, it's this kind of stuff that will never let me guess when he is going to propose," thank goodness I did not say that out loud! As we get into the limo he opens up the cooler and pulls out some champagne and I'm still thinking this is just a regular ole date that he has just pulled out all the stops for… never once did I question where the night was going. We pulled up to the beautiful Union Station Hotel and went inside to their restaurant, our table wasn't ready so we went to the bar to grab a drink. We found two secluded seats over in the corner and sat down. Isaac then starts asking me all these questions, all starting with "Remember when…" and I just kept saying "yea, yea" and at the very end he says "well I lied, I was really with your sisters at a jewelry store…" It was finally at this moment that I figured out what was happening, not that him reaching in his pocket for something gave it away or anything. He then pulled out the most beautiful ring I have ever seen and honestly after that it all becomes a little hazy but I do remember saying "YES!"
Two ladies were sitting next to us and realized what had just happened, they asked for one of our phones and had us do a reenactment so that we could get a picture!!
This was truly one of the best moments of my life and I still feel so blessed to have this wonderful man in my life!
