Memorial Day Weekend Fun

I'm so happy the weather cooperated for Memorial Day weekend and we were able to have some fun outside! We met Aunt Brooke, Clayton & Sawyer at Anderson park this morning and Lettie had a great time! I got her all lathered up with some sun block and put her cute lil hat on her and off we went! She even got to swing which she thought was awesome! 

But man, does all this playing sure wear a girl out!

Later that day, we went over to Aunt Rhendy's and Lettie had the best time of her lil baby life as you can see from the picture below! All the big kids were dancing around her and she was mimicking them, it was hilarious! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

5 Months New

Lettie is already 5 months new! Time sure is flying by and it can definitely slow down at anytime! Lettie has had a big month, she has: gone to a few baseball games, lots and lots of walks in the stroller, her first hair cut & her first solid food! She is in size 2 diapers and 6 month clothes! Lettie loves the stroller, being outside, her jumparoo & smiling at daddy! 

I just love this little pumpkin, she truly is my happy! ❤️

First Hair Cut

Lettie got to meet Jordan today for her first hair cut! Jordan had a little girl just a few weeks after I had Lettie so it's fun to compare stories and have mommy talk!

Lettie girl was starting to grow what I like to call a "baby mullet," ya know just a lil extra around the ears and the back of the neck! So I thought I would let her tag along with me to the salon so Jordan could fix her up! Granted the hair cut took all of 5 minutes but she did a really good job sitting still!

Her little face just kills me! 😂

Avocado for the Win

So Lettie continues to do great with breastfeeding but lately she has been eating more at daycare and has become really interested in what we are eating and drinking. She also has gotten so much stronger and is almost sitting up on her own so we thought we would start to introduce her to some solid foods! 

We first started with some rice cereal that I mixed with my breastmilk, she did good but I think half of it was on the bib and on her once it was all said and done! Nonetheless, it was fun! So the following week I gave her some avocado and she loved it! She was opening her mouth and lunging towards the spoon for more! I have a really good video that I wish I could post, but they never work... bummer! 

My Very First Mother's Day

I had a wonderful first Mothers Day: Isaac helped me a lot through out the weekend around the house, cooked me breakfast on Sunday (my favorite meal) and Lettie & him got me a really cute picture frame that I can't wait to get a picture in! 

I love this little girl so much and I am so blessed to be her Momma. It is so much fun watching her grow and reaching each milestone! I'm not someone who really likes to talk or show my emotions but this little girl has brought out a happiness in me that I never thought I could ever feel! She makes me smile every day.... my cup has officially runneth over! ❤️

4 Month Appointment

We went to see Dr. Boe today and Ms. Lettie is hitting all of her milestones. He again was impressed by her weight gain since her 2 month appointment, especially after he learned she is still only getting breastmilk :) I remain astonished by the capabilities of a woman's body! 

Lettie's Measurements

Height: 24 3/4 in = 55th percentile (grew 2 inches)

Weight: 15lb 11oz = 75th percentile (gained ~4 pounds)

Head circumference: 16.5 in = 81st percentile (grew 1 inch)

I also must admit that I have a thumb sucker... The pacifier has officially no use to this baby girl and she prefers her thumb, left or right, she does not discriminate!
